Detailinformationen von JA Europe:

The Entrepreneurial School Awards is an annual recognition of outstanding primary, secondary and vocational schools championing entrepreneurship education.

The TES Awards 2019 Ceremony will be held in Helsinki, Finland on October 16, 2019 during one of the most important education events in the EU calendar, the European Vocational Skills Week  2019 (EVSW).

Criteria:

  • Entrepreneurship education activities include most of the teachers and the students

  • The school has a vision and a plan for entrepreneurship education

  • There are specific resources allocated to entrepreneurship education

  • The school has actively supported teachers' continuing professional development and training within entrepreneurship education

  • How the school includes the local community and business sector in the activities

JA Europe has been invited by the European Commission to present a special TES award for the outstanding VET secondary schools during the European Vocational Skills Week. This award is part of the VET innovators category and will recognise the VET school most able to demonstrate the impact of entrepreneurship education in an innovative and collaborative way.  We would like to give all countries the opportunity to nominate a VET school for this award.

NEW: This year each JA organisation can nominate up to 2 schools for the TES Awards 2019 as long as at least one of them is a VET school.

All the VET nominees will be considered for the EVSW Innovators category. Our jury will select 2 to move into the final phase of the online voting competition organized by the European Commission. Both will be invited to participate at the European Vocational Skills Week 2019 events and the European Commission will cover the travel and participation costs for 2 adult representatives and 1 student from both selected schools. One of these schools will receive an award from the European Commissioner for Employment, Mrs Thyssen on Oct 17th.

Nomination Process: The schools are nominated by national JA organisations in cooperation with their national education authorities and/or Ministries of Education. Up to 2 schools per country can be nominated for the TES Award 2019 as long as one of them is a VET school.

The Entrepreneurial School Awards is not a European competition, it is a celebration event. We will not have one European winner but several national winners. All the nominated schools will receive the TES Award at the  JA Europe TES Awards Ceremony on October 16, 2019.

Prize: The nominated school(s)  in each country will be named “The Entrepreneurial School of the Year” and recognised across the JA network and through all our media and social media channels. As it is JA’s centennial this year, it’s a special year to be nominated!

  • Representatives from the nominated school will be invited to the TES Awards 2019 Ceremony in Helsinki.

  • JA Europe will cover the participation fee of one representative from each country, but the national level/school has to cover the travel to the event.

  • The schools representatives are usually head masters/and or teachers. They should speak English, as during the event  we also organize a TES workshop, where the winning schools present their school achievements to other participating teachers and schools representatives.

  • Detailed logistics information, programme of the event  and information about the participation fees will come by May 31st .
